As a part of ongoing training I run actor training workshops. These laboratory styled workshop gives actors a chance to keep their acting muscles toned and in top form. As artists of any level and discipline being open and available to our impulse is crucial to the creative process. The most important mission for an actor is to listen, respond and connect. This workshop is specifically designed for actors to stay engaged with their body and breath. The workshop helps actors find truth and authenticity within their work and engage with instinct and impulse. With cross-disciplinary exercises we will look at keeping the body, the breath and text alive while engaging in an ensemble environment. The workshop gives you the place to explore methodology you can apply to your personal artistic process and practice, awakening your impulse and the possibility for creation.

The Smith Company is a production house that gives me a place to explore and investigate work that is personal to my artistic journey and to provide further interrogation of craft and process. Formally known as Red Room Theatre Company, this collective has been renamed to reflect the evolving nature of my practice. With this company I have been able to work in conjunction with other companies, production groups, co-ops, theatres and individual artists.
